TREATED LUMBER
High-Performance Pressure Treated Wood & Fire-Retardant Timber for Global Procurement
Engineered Treated Lumber for Structural & Fire-Safety Compliance
Florida Lumber supplies high-grade Pressure-Treated Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) and Fire-Retardant Treated Wood (FRTW) directly to international commercial builders, structural engineering contractors, and volume building material importers. Engineered to withstand harsh oceanic humidity, subterranean termite pressures, and stringent municipal fire codes, our treated wood solutions ensure structural longevity and uncompromised project safety.
Through controlled pressure-impregnation processes compliant with American Wood Protection Association (AWPA) guidelines and ASTM E84 Class A flame spread standards, our products satisfy critical engineering tolerances for ground contact, marine environments, and multi-family high-density framing.
Fire-Retardant & Heavy-Duty Preservative Treatments
We offer specialized chemical treatment formulations designed for specific architectural specifications and international import requirements:
Fire-Retardant Treated Wood (FRTW)
Pressure-impregnated with advanced fire-extinguishing chemicals. Meets ASTM E84 testing with a Flame Spread Index of 25 or less and minimal smoke development. Kiln Dried After Treatment (KDAT) to prevent warping and preserve dimensional stability in interior structural framing.
Ground Contact & Marine Preservative
Formulated with Micronized Copper Azole (MCA) or Alkaline Copper Quat (ACQ) to protect against fungal decay, rot, and marine borers. Specified for AWPA Use Category UC4A, UC4B, and UC4C applications including pilings, retainage walls, and structural footings.
Above Ground & Architectural Framing
Lightweight, clean-to-touch treatment (AWPA UC3B) designed for exterior decking substructures, joists, fascia, and roof sheathing. Provides long-term protection against atmospheric moisture and insect infestation in tropical and sub-tropical climates.
Technical Specifications & Export Standards
All exported treated timber products undergo strict moisture testing, certified grading inspections, and ISPM-15 phytosanitary treatment protocols prior to container loading and dispatch.
